George W. Bush Is Loved By Democrats

According to The Hill, many Democrats have a positive opinion of former President George W. Bush.

Data from the Economist-YouGov affirms that 51% of Democrats view Bush favorably while 42% of Democrats have a less favorable perception of Bush.

Many people attribute Bush’s aforementioned favorability ratings as a result of public statements that most Americans perceived as subtle criticism against President Trump.

Bush’s delivered his public statements to a New York crowd. They read as follows:

“We’ve seen nationalism distorted into nativism, forgotten the dynamism that immigration has always brought to America. We see a fading confidence in the value of free markets and international trade, forgetting that conflict, instability and poverty follow in the wake of protectionism.”
