CrowdStrike’s Response
CrowdStrike’s chief executive, George Kurtz, confirmed the issue in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating that a “defect” in a content update for Windows hosts had caused the outage.
Kurtz emphasized that this was not a result of a cyberattack but a software defect. He assured that the firm was rolling out a fix and clarified that Mac and Linux hosts were not affected.
