GOP Warns that Biden is Rejecting Bipartisanship on Infrastructure and More

Later, Republicans submitted a less expensive and more focused package that truly prioritizes infrastructure. Unfortunately, however, Democrats are not cooperating. According to GOP Sen. Tim Scott, Democrats are trying to sneak a 28% corporate tax rate into the “infrastructure” package; Scott also pointed out that only 6% of Biden’s spending bill focuses on bridges, roads, etc.

GOP Sen. Shelley Moore Capito has a similar outlook. Capito maintains that bipartisan work on infrastructure has happened in the past and can happen again; however, it involves Biden’s willingness to come to the table and be serious about what infrastructure is truly all about.

A partisan president of the United States

Republicans continue to remind Biden of his promises to be a president for “all” Americans. Thus far, Biden has adopted one partisan position after the other; infrastructure is merely one of several examples.

When Biden shut down Keystone Pipeline, Republicans and even a few Democrats came out against it. Now, the U.S. is in the middle of a pressing Colonial Pipeline crisis. On gun policy, the Southern border, and more, Biden has chosen partisanship over bipartisanship time and time again.
