Throughout the 2024 Republican primary, contender Nikki Haley has been making the case that America needs to move on from political leaders with drama, chaos, and vendettas distracting them from the issues.

In addition to citing her own record as a conservative leader, Haley's also pointed out what she sees as the flaws of both Donald Trump and Joe Biden. It is the view of the former South Carolina governor (and many of her supporters) that Trump and Biden are too old, too distracted, and the country deserves better.

In the aftermath of last night's primary in New Hampshire, Trump attacked Haley for remaining in the presidential race, even making comments about the dress she wore while addressing her supporters.

Today, Haley's campaign released a statement, dinging the former president for having a "meltdown."

The latest from the Haley team on Trump

In a press release, the Haley campaign said Trump's behavior on Tuesday night is a prime example of why nearly half of GOP voters and over seven in ten Americans oppose a redo of the 2020 presidential race.

The statement continues with the Haley camp noting that people across the country prefer normalcy and sanity over vengeance and "temper tantrums."

Finally, the statement wrapped with a direct quote from Nachama Soloveichik, the communications director for Haley.

Soloveichik declared Trump lacks the ability to focus on inflation, the southern border, and foreign policy matters, due to his own fixations on "social media meltdowns," drama, and individual grievances.

Headlining Haley's response to Trump's comments less than 24 hours ago is "Make America Normal Again."

Haley vs. Trump in South Carolina

The former South Carolina governor and ex-president will battle one another over the next month in the Palmetto State. Haley's team has already invested millions in an ad buy that will highlight her record as governor to voters, while also branding Trump (and Biden) as not up for the job.

During Haley's remarks in New Hampshire last night, she also called on the former president to join her on the debate stage. So far, Trump has not participated in one debate throughout the entire Republican primary.
