Prosecutors claim that two-weeks later, during a crime scene walk-through, Anderson changed his story about how the shooting happened.

Assistant District Attorney Anthony Osso said in a press release that the jury could see that Anderson actively worked to “thwart justice” after killing his wife.

Osso also pointed out Anderson’s record of spousal abuse had culminated in his wife’s death.

“He abused her for 10 years before this happened, and he even threatened to shoot her in the head just three months before he killed her.”

“His first story to police was that he shot himself, and that’s what you have to believe because he wanted to cover up the crime scene,” Osso added.
