An Overview of Kasich’s Remarks

The Ohio governor spoke out against the current president of the United States during an interview with CNN. Kasich’s remarks read as follows:

“He’s not capable of being a unifier. He doesn’t know how to accept personal responsibility and always finds somebody else to blame.”

Kasich then accused Trump of purposefully “revving people up.” He bemoaned the notion of unstable individuals “doing something crazy” and moreover expressed concerns about “somebody on the edge” who “might do something stupid.”

Kasich’s latest CNN interview does not mark his first critique of President Trump. Throughout the 2016 election, Kasich ran as a candidate to win the GOP nomination. He frequently sparred with then-candidate Trump and other contenders.

The Backstory

The remarks of Gov. John Kasich come after reports that several prominent Democrats and CNN officials have received bombs in the mail. Barack Obama, the Clintons, Robert DeNiro, Joe Biden, and other established left-wing figures have had potentially dangerous packages intercepted by members of law enforcement.
