Throughout the Arizona 2022 gubernatorial election cycle, GOP candidate Kari Lake campaigned tenaciously to become the next governor of the state.
Lake talked about her policy plans on education, crime, the southern border, and more. She also partook in an Ask Me Anything Tour after Democratic opponent Katie Hobbs repeatedly turned down opportunities to debate her.
Though despite Hobbs being much more inaccessible than Lake on the campaign trail, she still won the Arizona governor’s race.
Rather than concede her loss, Lake is now alleging election fraud in what’s looking more and more like a 2.0 version of former President Trump’s reaction to the 2020 presidential election.
Now, one of Lake’s latest talking points asserts that election officials in Maricopa County, Arizona should be behind bars.

Over the weekend, Lake spoke at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Arizona. During her remarks, the Republican once again falsely asserted that she won the state’s governor’s race.
