An Overview of the ‘Build the Wall, Enforce the Law’ Bill

Dubbed as ‘Build the Wall, Enforce the Law,’ the proposed act offers the provision of $23.4 billion in order to create the wall on the border between America and Mexico. Furthermore, the success of the bill would grant $5.5 billion in readily available funds. The first $16.6 billion would cover physical barricades. The rest of the funds would subsequently pay for infrastructure, technology, and operations fees.

In a statement, McCarthy explained the importance of passing ‘Build the Wall, Enforce the Law.’

“For decades, America’s inability to secure our borders and stop illegal immigration has encouraged millions to undertake a dangerous journey. [They have] come here in violation of our laws and created huge loopholes in the legal channels we use to welcome immigrants to our country.”
