EasyQuickfix LLC, a computer repair service provider based in Miami, Florida is allegedly taking advantage of consumers, particularly senior citizens who are not tech-savvy.

The company allegedly lured elderly consumers into signing subscription contracts and paying hundreds of dollars for it. In fact, these consumers sought help to resolve simple technical issues such as logging-in to their computers.

On its website, EasyQuickfix touts that it is a “reliable” company “providing quality online cloud storage & computer repair service. It also promises, “We strive to help people by providing extraordinary service and expert repairs using only the highest quality standards available.”

However, some consumers filed complaints against the Miami-based computer repair service provider with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

An 84-year old consumer, who was a former Marine, reported to the BBB that EasyQuickfix lured him to sign a contract for a three-year service worth $399.99. The company allegedly contacted this elderly consumer when he was setting up his new laptop.  He thought the customer representatives who contacted him was an employee of HP so signed a computer service contract on August 30, 2020. The following day, he decided to cancel the contract after realizing that he signed a contract with EasyQuickfix and not with HP.
