During this week alone, protests have taken place in Ohio, North Carolina and now in Michigan. This morning, brave Michiganders gathered with one another and took to the streets. While exercising their lawful and constitutional right to peaceably assemble, Michigan residents demanded an end to Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe order.
What to Know About Today’s Protests in Michigan
Michigan residents gathered at the State Capitol to hold their protest known as Operation Gridlock. Protests took place both in and outside of people’s cars. Michiganders did not mice words, noting the imperative nature of rights, freedoms, and liberties.
While protesting, residents of the state also pointed out Governor Whitmer’s lack of measures to preserve economic health and physical health. Others noted the flaws of adopting a one-size-fits-all approach to local issues.
