On Wednesday an Arizona teenager who vanished just days before her 15th birthday almost four years ago is confirmed as safe. Alicia Navarro, now 18, mysteriously appeared at a police station in Havre, Montana about 40 miles from the Canadian border. She identified herself as a missing teenager from Glendale, a Phoenix suburb.

Alicia’s mental health and physical condition were found to be stable, and she seemed “fine and in good health” when she presented herself to the police.

According to Santiago, an official from the Glendale PD, Alicia voluntarily sought help to clear her status as a missing juvenile. She is not facing any charges or being held against her will.

The police are cooperating with her and federal partners to ensure her privacy and safety during this time.

“We are so glad for Alicia and her family so that they can be reunited, and the family can no longer have the anguish of not knowing where their child is or whether or not she is OK,” according to the Havre Police’s statement.
