Nearly Four in Ten Americans Blame Biden for Inflation

The court of public opinion regarding inflation is not very partisan either. Collectively, Democrats and Republicans both fault Biden for inflation. However, the Democrats do so at a much smaller margin than Republicans. Democrats blame Biden at a 5.8% margin, while Republicans hold Biden accountable at a 52.7% margin.

The ultimate tax in America

Biden has frequently talked about only increasing taxes on rich Americans. However, inflation is a tax that is hitting low-income Americans the hardest. Inflation combined with a decrease in overall income for many working-class people adds up to a surge in poverty.

If President Biden continues spending, inflation is guaranteed to continue on. Likewise, if the Federal Reserve keeps on printing money, the value of the dollar will keep lessening. Already, experts project that inflation will carry on well into 2022.

Biden’s troublesome economic record is something that Republicans plan to remind voters of as the midterms get closer. Already, the GOP appears very well-positioned to win back the House of Representatives.
