Last week, Florida took similar action. Like Governor Ricketts, Governor Ron DeSantis stated that the decisions of the Biden administration created the present catastrophe at the border. DeSantis also announced that Florida shall send down law enforcement officials to assist Arizona and Texas.

Radio silence from left-wing states

Nebraska, Florida, Arizona, and Texas each have Republican governors. The latter two states sent out help requests to all 50 states; however, not a single Democrat governor stepped up to the plate.

Rather than focusing on solutions for the Southern border, Democrat leaders have directed their attention to different matters. Some of these matters entail advocating for children to learn critical race theory in schools and working to eliminate the Senate filibuster.

The plight at the Southern border is not going away. However, it appears as though Republicans should not expect Democrats’ support in fixing the border crisis anytime soon.
