Sununu, during a recent sitdown with Face the Nation, was questioned about the possibility of running for president. The Republican governor didn’t rule it out. In fact, he told Face the Nation that many opportunities for change exist.
Some of the changes Sununu touted as positives for the country are reduced taxes, individual responsibility, and prioritizing the interests of voters.
In previous public remarks, the New Hampshire governor has offered criticism of both Trump and DeSantis. The former will definitely be an opponent if Sununu enters the 2024 race.
As for the Florida governor, he too is likely to be a competitor in the presidential election ahead.
More from Sununu
The New Hampshire governor has gone on record stating that it’s not enough for Republicans to simply be against Biden or the Democrats. According to Sununu, it is his view that Republicans have to be “for something” and not trapped in an echo chamber.
If Sununu does decide to run for president, his announcement will presumably arrive later this year. The same also applies to other Republicans who are likely set to compete for the GOP nomination.
