More than seven in ten Republican voters and non-affiliated voters agreed that free speech is threatened by political correctness; however, less than 50% of Democrats said the same. This, yet again, demonstrates the stark divide between the left and the right on another issue. However, it’s interesting to see that on the matter of political correctness, non-affiliated voters tend to agree with Republicans.
Thoughts about political correctness also somewhat correlate with socioeconomic status. For instance, individuals with more than $200K in annual earnings are generally less worried about political correctness than folks with lower earnings.

Culture wars in the United States between leftists and conservatives are on the rise. This doesn’t just include political correctness either.
Republicans and Democrats have clashed on matters dealing with cancel culture, appropriate COVID mandates/restrictions, and more. Furthermore, as time passes, the intersection between culture wars and politics continues to become more apparent. If things persist on their current course, the divides over various cultural issues will continue to surge.
