Yesterday, Super Tuesday saw Republicans and Democrats head to the polls to vote for their preferred nominees. Both party’s primaries are quickly passing by as 2024 continues and the conventions get closer.

On the Republican side, former UN ambassador and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is running against ex-President Trump for the nomination. Haley’s vowed to stay in the GOP primary for as long as her candidacy remains competitive.

Days ago, Haley supporters rejoiced when she won the Washington DC Republican primary. On Super Tuesday, the GOP hopeful secured yet another win, this time in Vermont.

What to know about Haley’s victory in Vermont

First and foremost, the Republican candidate’s triumph came on the heels of an endorsement from Vermont Gov. Phil Scott. The GOP leader praised Haley as America’s “only chance” of ensuring worthwhile options in the nation’s general election.

It appears that Scott’s endorsement carried weight with the voters of his state. If Haley’s win over Trump surpasses 50%, she’ll take all 17 of Vermont’s delegates; otherwise, the delegates will be divvied up in a manner representative of the electorate’s collective vote.
