
According to Gen. McKenzie, they hit the Syrian regime’s research, development and production center for chemical and biological weapons. They also hit the regime’s chemical weapons storage facility and a chemical bunker facility.
Gen. McKenzie said, “We selected these targets carefully to minimize the risk to innocent civilians…. I would use three words to describe the operation: Precise, overwhelming and effective.”
Additionally, the general said the allies fired 105 weapons at the targets. “All weapons hit their targets close to the designated time on target.” He added, “These attacks on multiple axis were able to overwhelm the Syrian air defense system.”
