As 2017 approaches a standstill, many Americans are wondering what all President Trump has accomplished since his time in office. According to Fox News, ISIS reform, economic reform, and tax reform are on the very top of the list.
Changes Since President Trump’s Time in Office
Some of President Trump’s most notable achievements in 2017 are tax reform, the repeal of Obamacare’s individual mandate, the destruction of ISIS, and the growth of the economy. These are also key points which the President campaigned on in 2016.
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is one of President Trump’s most recent accomplishments. Under the $1.5 trillion bill, the former 35% corporate tax rate goes down to 21%. Moreover, tax rates for individual tax brackets are also lessen. Along with multiple tax reductions also comes the repeal of Obamacare’s individual mandate. Americans will no longer be faced with the ultimatum of either purchasing healthcare they may not want/need or paying the government a fine.
Next on the list of the President’s achievements comes the growth of the economy. Within his six first months in office came one million new jobs. The economy has also grown by 3.2% between the months of July and September while the unemployment rate has stagnated to 4.1%. This is the lowest unemployment rate since December 2000. Finally, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is seeing record highs and according to the White House, the American economy has gained $5 trillion in wealth since President Trump’s time in office.
