On Friday, Democrat and New Mexican Congressional candidate Pat Davis started his TV ad by saying three words, "F*ck the NRA," reports The Hill.

An Overview of Davis' Controversial Ad

Since the inception of February's Florida high school shooting, the NRA has taken considerable amounts of heat from Democrats and anti-gun individuals. Many of the aforementioned people have faulted the NRA for the actions of Florida school shooter, Nikolas Cruz.

This is in spite of the reality that the FBI received multiple reports about Cruz, yet failed to act upon any of the warnings. The NRA also continues to receive heat even though the on-duty security guard chose not to enter the school building even after Cruz repeatedly opened fire.

Regardless of the aforesaid factors which enabled the shooting, anti-gun people are not backing down. The NRA continues to face ongoing attacks. Pat Davis, who is currently running for Congress is no exception.

Yesterday, he released a promotional TV advertisement, in which he said the following:

"F*ck the NRA. Their pro-gun policies have resulted in dead children, dead mothers, and dead fathers. I'm Pat Davis and I approve this message because if Congress won't change our gun laws, then we're changing Congress."

Davis is a former police officer. Right now, he currently serves as a city council member of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Various Responses to Davis' Controversial Ad

The talking points in the candidate's TV ad are often vocalized by anti-gun individuals. Americans in favor of the NRA and Second Amendment have, however, controverted anti-gun rhetoric. Many conservatives and right-wingers moreover affirm that criminals who are intent on doing harm will not abide by stricter gun regulations.

Therefore, right-leaning Americans state that the only people who will be impacted by heavier gun control laws are lawful citizens. Nevertheless, anti-gun individuals do not see it this way. Their speakers and candidates continue to laud what they view as the merits of more gun control.
