What Happens This Week?

House Democrats are scheduled to hold a final vote on their impeachment articles against the president this week. At this time, the left is standing by their assertions that Trump abused power and obstructed justice. Republicans aren’t buying it, noting the lack of evidence to support the claims within the impeachment articles.

Furthermore, Ukraine President Zelensky denies that Trump ever pressured him or engaged in a quid-pro-quo. Earlier this morning, the president took to Twitter, urging the American people to read the transcripts of his phone conversation with Zelensky.

If the House gets the required votes, then the Senate will conduct a trial. Political pundits and others have already stated that a trial is likely. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other GOP senators affirm that they will vote against removing Trump from office.
