Republicans filed at least three lawsuits challenging the eligibility criteria of certain votes cast and “cured” in Pennsylvania.

The Republican Party lodged complaints seeking to throw out votes in Pennsylvania counties that allowed voters to “cure” or “fix” problems with their absentee ballots.

President Donald Trump’s campaign has laid the groundwork for contesting battleground states as the chief executive rallied behind Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in the race to 270 Electoral College votes needed to secure the White House seat.

Lancaster County reportedly rejected ballots with errors. However, in Bucks County, about 1,600 people were sent notices about ballot mistakes, mainly involving disclosure envelopes, 6abc reported.

"Failure to completely fill out the exterior of the return envelope when people send in their mailing envelopes, they may have forgotten to date it, they may have neglected to sign it," Larry King, Director of Public Information for Bucks County, said.

Tom King, who represented a number of Republican candidates, sued Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar saying she issued guidance in contravention of the Election Code.

"That's absolutely prohibited under Pennsylvania law, there's no way to do that. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania recognized that in the case, that's the leading case in Pennsylvania, that's now up in the U.S. Supreme Court,” Tom King said.

Trump campaign also launched legal fights in Wisconsin, Michigan

His campaign also announced that it would ask for a recount in Wisconsin, which could take up two weeks if 2016 is any measure. This move is the result of reports that 200,000 ballots were dumped overnight giving Biden a lead when Trump was clearly the front runner last evening, raising concerns.

The Trump campaign also lodged a lawsuit in Michigan to observe the counting of ballots.

“President Trump’s campaign has not been provided with meaningful access to numerous counting locations to observe the opening of ballots and the counting process, as guaranteed by Michigan law. We have filed suit today in the Michigan Court of Claims to halt counting until meaningful access has been granted. We also demand to review those ballots which were opened and counted while we did not have meaningful access,” campaign manager Bill Stepien said.

Trump’s supporters like millions of Americans across the country are closely and vigilantly monitoring the ballot counting in battleground states including Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.
