Russian Hackers Target Texas Town’s Water Tank

Russian hackers known as Sandworm or Apt44 allegedly caused a Muleshoe, Texas water tank to overflow in a suspected hack in January.

Sandworm has been identified by cybersecurity experts as the attacker. They were also accused of 2017 hospital attacks in Pennsylvania.

Russian Hackers Linked to Spy Agency 

The unusual attack on U.S. infrastructure has the cyber-security firm Mandiant concerned. On Wednesday they released a report. “APT44: Unearthing Sandworm” provides additional insights into the group’s new operations, and context on how the group is adjusting to support Moscow’s war aims.
