The Dilbert Controversy

The legacy of Scott Adams and “Dilbert” took a dramatic turn in 2023 after Adams made racially charged comments during an online discussion of polling data. He referred to Black people as a “hate group” and suggested White people should “get the hell away from Black people.” Adams later claimed the remarks were hyperbolic.

In response, numerous newspapers—including those in the USA TODAY Network—announced they would no longer carry “Dilbert. The strip was later relaunched as a webcomic under the name Daily Dilbert Reborn on the Locals platform.
