Maleesa’s sister is the Guyanese pop sensation Jourdin Pauline. She is known for her massive following on Instagram. She shared her grief on social media.

Jourdin wrote a heartfelt tribute, “Never in a million years did I think I’d have to make this post and get justice for my one & only sister. My heart is crushed.”

The circumstances surrounding Mooney’s death remain unclear, but authorities have confirmed that they are treating it as a homicide, adding to the growing concerns of a potential serial killer in the area.

Mason expressed concerns about a potential connection between the two deaths, saying, “We just want to know what happened. It just doesn’t seem right. Is there a correlation between these two females? Is there a correlation? They were both almost in the same area… we need to make sure that this isn’t something else because it just didn’t seem right.”

As the investigations into these unsettling deaths continue, the families of both Maleesa Mooney and Nichole Coats believe the deaths were caused by a serial killer.
