The zoo animal care team members announced that two emperor tamarin monkeys were missing. And the habitat had been “intentionally compromised.”

According to a statement from the zoo, there was evidence that the habitat had been “tampered with.” And the missing monkeys were regardingtaken.

“Officers responded and the preliminary investigation determined an intentional cut was made into a tamarin monkey enclosure at the zoo,” the department said in a Monday statement.

On Tuesday police posted a photograph on Twitter. According to police “Detectives are looking to speak with the man regarding the two tamarin monkeys missing from the Dallas Zoo.”

The young man was recorded on video walking through the zoo. He was wearing a winter hat, blue hoodie, dark pants, and blue athletic shoes. When the photos were taken, he was eating Doritos.
