Following the US’s chaotic 2021 withdrawal the Taliban retook power in Afghanistan.

In 2021, President Joe Biden vowed the country that once harbored Osama bin Laden would “never again become a terrorist safe haven.” And the Taliban would never dare to abuse women as they did before the US’s nearly two decades long occupation.

The Biden administration continues to funnel millions of dollars to the Taliban.

This “aid” money was to assure that the atrocities of the past did not return to the country. But it is widely reported that none of the money from the US and other countries has gone to the people. And it only enriches and emboldens the Taliban.

In a chilling declaration broadcasted over Afghanistan’s state TV, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, the elusive leader of the Taliban, sent a clear message that the regime plans to begin anew the brutal punishments for women.
