Trump Pursues $230 Million Financial Settlement from DOJ, Eyes Funds for White House Ballroom
Trump’s $250 Million Whitehouse Ballroom Project Sparks Uproar and Political Backlash – USA Herald
White House Ballroom Construction Moves Forward
Demolition work began Monday on the East Wing to make space for Trump’s planned 90,000-square-foot ballroom, a privately funded project estimated at $250 million. As The Washington Post reported, Trump envisions the new venue as “the most beautiful ballroom in the country,” capable of hosting up to 1,000 guests.
Though critics have labeled the expansion a “vanity project,” Trump maintains it will enhance the historic building. “If I get a financial settlement, I’ll use it to make the White House even more beautiful,” he said.
