Tulsi Gabbard May Not Vote in Favor of Impeachment

On Monday, Gabbard reiterated the points which cover whether or not she’ll vote for impeachment next week.

In the 2020 Democrat’s own words:

“I have had concerns for a long time about impeachment being pursued for partisan reasons. Pursuing impeachment for partisan reasons is something that will only further divide an already divided country; it actually undermines our democracy.”

If the House gets the necessary votes, then the Senate will conduct a trial. However, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already stated that “no chance” of Trump’s removal from the White House exists. Moreover, McConnell maintains that the Senate shall move in accordance with the White House.

It’s also important to remember that the Senate remains under strong Republican control. As of now, the president retains a 90%+ approval rating with the Republican Party. As time passes, Democrats are amping up criticism against the GOP as the latter confirms their opposition to impeachment.
