The vice president later cited “severe sanctions” as the “real costs” Russia must endure. Yet, even the matter of sanctions hasn’t been without its issues.

During Biden’s latest visit to Europe, he declared that sanctions weren’t meant to thwart Russia from waging warfare on Ukraine.

Nevertheless, before Russia hit Ukraine, Harris, along with other members of the Biden administration, said deterrence did serve as the purpose of sanctions.

Foreign policy chaos

When it comes to foreign policy, the Biden administration has been all over the place. Between open disagreements on sanctions, regime change, and more, it’s clear the White House is not altogether on the same page.

This is troubling at a time when a war remains ongoing with no apparent end in sight. Meanwhile, this war has spiraled to a point where the US president is telling people that food shortages are on their way to America.

If there was ever a time in which the White House needed to be on the same page about foreign policy matters, that time would be now.
