The National Weather Service warns of power outages, especially along the coast, with high wind watches and potential hurricane-force winds.

Coastal Impact: High Surf, Erosion, and Rip Currents

Closer to the coast, high wind watches and hurricane-force wind warnings are imminent. High surf of 8 to 11 feet, beach erosion, and dangerous rip currents are anticipated, persisting through the middle of the week.

The storm system is expected to conclude by week’s end, but another storm threatens a similar trajectory later in the week and into the weekend.
