White House in Hot Water Over Claims About Americans in Afghanistan

The magnitude of the Afghanistan crisis is something that President Biden and his White House administration continue to downplay and undermine. Already, the Taliban feels emboldened enough to issue threats against the United States.

Very recently, the Taliban announced via a spokesperson that “consequences” will materialize if the Biden administration fails to get all Americans out of Afghanistan by August 31. Meanwhile, Biden hasn’t responded; instead, his administration is working to appease the Taliban and keep them happy.

Amid all this chaos, the Biden administration is facing backlash for their outright lie that Americans are not stranded in Afghanistan.

The White’s House’s work to rewrite the facts

On Monday, Peter Doocy, a White House correspondent with Fox News, asked press secretary Jen Psaki if Biden understands the reasoning behind bipartisan criticism against him. In asking this question, Doocy furthermore noted that Americans are stranded in Afghanistan.

Psaki, however, gave a surprising response, even for this administration. The press secretary declared that Americans do not remain stranded in Afghanistan. She then said that getting Americans home is a top priority for the White House.
