Many right-wingers who favor Trump note economic improvements and tax reductions as factors which will benefit him in the 2020 election. Furthermore, conservatives Americans believe the left-wing is too extreme to win a national election. Accusations of extremism have mounted in the past few months as leftists emerged with new policies.
As one might imagine, left-wing policies are virtually never favored by the right-wing. However, some of the proposed reforms which attracted the most censure include calls to end private healthcare, increase gun control, and of course, The Green New Deal.
The Green New Deal has prompted immense loathing amongst right-wing circles; even some moderate Democrats have come out against it. Calls to do away with air travel and gas-fueled cars have not helped leftists in this regard; neither has the Green New Deal’s vow to provide economic aid to individuals who are “unwilling” to work.
