3 detained in Nancy Guthrie case

A flurry of overnight police activity in Tucson led to the detention of three people in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, but authorities have not made any arrests.

Two individuals — a man and a woman — were removed from a Pima County home during a SWAT operation, according to News Nation. Investigators executed a warrant and spent several hours searching the residence, TMZ founder Harvey Levin told CNN on Saturday morning.

Third Detention During Traffic Stop

Meanwhile, a third person was detained during a traffic stop roughly two miles from Guthrie’s home. Levin cited law enforcement sources suggesting the male driver may have been linked to the search at the residence, though officials have not confirmed that connection.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department acknowledged “law enforcement activity” in the case early Saturday morning but said the FBI requested no further details be shared. None of the detained individuals have been arrested, Sheriff Chris Nanos told Tucson CBS affiliate KOLD 13.

“What led law enforcement to these individuals isn’t clear. This was nothing more than a lead tracked down that led to a search warrant and no arrest,” Nanos said.
