Ten Scientists. Nuclear Secrets. Dead or Vanished. Congress Is Now Demanding Answers

At least ten Americans with access to America's most sensitive nuclear and aerospace secrets have died or disappeared under circumstances that have alarmed the White House, triggered a congressional probe, and set off national security alarm bells across Washington. Here's everything we know — and the questions that still don't have answers.

Something is happening — and the U.S. government is no longer willing to pretend otherwise.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer just went public with a statement that should stop every American in their tracks. At least ten people with ties to U.S. nuclear secrets or advanced rocket technology have recently died or vanished — and Congress wants answers from the very top agencies responsible for protecting those secrets.

Rep. James Comer

@RepJamesComer  ·  House Oversight Committee Chairman

"At least 10 people linked to U.S. nuclear secrets or advanced rocket tech have recently died or disappeared without a trace. The Oversight Committee will be seeking information & briefings from @DeptofWar, @FBI, @ENERGY, & @NASA."

The agencies Comer is putting on notice:

Department of Defense, FBI, Department of Energy, and NASA

This is not a fringe theory circulating on social media. The President of the United States has personally acknowledged the pattern.

"I just left a meeting on that subject, so pretty serious stuff," President Trump told reporters. "Hopefully, coincidence... but some of them were very important people, and we are going to look at it."

The Energy Department's National Nuclear Security Administration has confirmed it is already looking into the matter. But "looking into it" is not the same as answers. And the American people deserve answers.

These cases span three years, multiple states, and multiple facilities at the absolute core of America's defense and space programs — Los Alamos National Laboratory, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Kansas City National Security Campus, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and MIT. Here are the documented cases:

Look closely at the disappearances and a deeply unsettling behavioral pattern emerges. Multiple individuals left their homes on foot — no car, no phone, no wallet, no keys. Some left behind glasses, wearable devices, and personal items that no person willingly abandons. In the case of Steven Garcia, surveillance footage captured him walking away carrying only a handgun. His phone, wallet, keys, and car were all left at his home. Anthony Chavez did the same. So did Melissa Casias. So did retired Major General William McCasland.

"It's a little strange that these people just keep disappearing."

Investigators and former officials have publicly offered the most straightforward explanations — personal tragedy, mental health, unrelated criminal acts. And those explanations may well be right. But when the same pattern — cleared personnel, sensitive access, vanishes on foot, leaves everything behind — repeats itself across multiple states and multiple facilities over three years, the question stops being whether it's worth investigating. The question becomes why it took this long to demand a formal answer.

Chairman Comer's move to seek briefings from the Pentagon, FBI, Energy Department, and NASA is significant. This is not a press release. This is the House Oversight Committee — the body with statutory authority to compel information from the executive branch — formally putting these agencies on notice that they will be held accountable for what they know and when they knew it.

The facilities at the center of these cases combined employ more than 20,000 people. They produce the non-nuclear components for America's nuclear weapons arsenal. They advance fusion energy research. They put spacecraft on asteroids. The individuals who work there — and the secrets they carry — are among the most strategically sensitive assets this country has. The idea that a pattern of deaths and disappearances among people holding that level of access could go without formal congressional scrutiny is, frankly, unacceptable.

Whether the answer turns out to be coincidence, personal tragedy, or something far darker — the American people are owed a full accounting. And Chairman Comer appears to agree.

We'll be following every development. Stay with us.
