The victim, tragically, was a teenager who was shot and killed as he departed from a local party.
Quincy Reese, a vibrant 16-year-old, was found dead at the scene, transforming an otherwise lively neighborhood into a somber crime scene.

Upon arriving at the scene, LAPD officers discovered the teenager shot and killed, lying on the pavement, his life abruptly ended outside the homes lining 74th Street.
The initial probe suggests that Quincy had left a high school party organized in a rental hall on Western Avenue when the unthinkable occurred.
LAPD Lieutenant Victoria Lim clarified, “Everything transpired outside; nothing really occurred inside the party.”
