On Sunday night, a grief-stricken father and a crowd of over a hundred people, assembled outside Crenshaw High School where Quincy was a student, to remember him.

Quincy Reese Sr. paid tribute to his son, “God gave me 16 years of him, and I’m grateful for that.

He fulfilled everything I asked for.” Quincy’s cousin, Eric Johnson, revealed a testament to the teenager’s potential, stating, “He had 58 scholarship offers, 58 already.

Scouts from the NBA were watching him.”

Ed Waters, Quincy’s basketball coach, voiced his grief, promising to dedicate the season to the teenager who was shot and killed.

He said, “We’ll strive to accomplish the goals that he wanted to fulfill – win the championship.”
