Amazon and the Environment
Amazon is the third-largest company in the world. It is run by the richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos. He is an ardent critic of the Trump administration, which Bezos would say is anti-environmental.
And yet, months after Amazon announced its plans to comply with the Paris Climate Accord 10 years early, photo shoots for Amazon still have single-use plastic bottles on set.
Since the September announcement, you would think a simple yet effective change like switching out single-use plastic would be among the first changes to happen.
But apparently, Amazon is not concerned about with “little” changes like switching out polluting single-use plastic with more sustainable solutions. Bezos prefers a marketable achievement, like the “largest order of electric delivery vehicles ever.”
