The 34-year-old is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors starring in hits such as Barbie, The Suicide Squad, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. However, while she “loves“staying busy,” she seems to be enjoying a quieter pace.
Ackerley and Robbie, who are notoriously private, first crossed paths on a movie set in 2013. The film was Suite Française, a World War II drama. In 2014, Robbie and the filmmaker started dating after a very lengthy friendship, the actress noted. She shared a few more details about their relationship in an interview later on.
“This crept up on me. … I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.’”
The pair tied the knot in 2016 with a private wedding in Australia’s Byron Bay. They also launched LuckyChap, their own production company. Among LuckyChap’s hits are Saltburn, Promising Young Woman, and Barbie.
