Biden Pushing Back Against Democrats Who Don’t Want Him in 2024

Biden then repeatedly urged media reporters to “read the polls” before saying if he went for a second term, he’d get the votes of 92% of Democrats.

While the president referenced a portion of data from a New York Times-Siena College survey, he left out crucial pieces of information.

Biden declined to mention this survey also shows only 26% of his party members believe he should remain on as the nominee.

64%, on the other hand, believe a different Democrat should take the mantle in 2024. Naturally, Biden didn’t wish to draw attention to this data when urging the media to “read the polls.”

A bleak vision for 2024

Biden’s chances of re-election are pretty grim. RootsAction, in their statement demanding Biden not run, declared he’d encounter a real fight if he chooses to run anyway.

Meanwhile, more polling shows only 19% of Independents favor Biden’s job performance. When the president first got into office, he carried a much higher approval rating amongst Independents.

Independents stand as an increasingly vital coalition in America; they hold the power to swing elections in one direction or the other.
