Boeing’s flagship 787 Dreamliner jet is once again facing federal scrutiny and public concern.

This development marks another chapter in Boeing’s ongoing saga of safety lapses and regulatory challenges.

Boeing’s admission is evidenced by an internal memo written by Scott Stocker, Boeing’s 787 vice president and general manager.

The memo detailed an incident where a Boeing employee flagged irregularities in a required test. This led to the discovery of multiple policy violations.

Boeing claims that the misconduct posed no immediate safety risk But the incident raises serious questions about the company’s commitment to quality control and adherence to safety protocols.

This latest revelation adds to Boeing’s mounting problems. It will almost certainly increase the time the company will remain under the microscope of various federal investigations. And may begin another round of Congressional hearings.

Safety Issues and Whistleblower deaths

Since January, when an Alaska Airlines flight experienced structural issues attributed to a manufacturing error, Boeing’s safety practices have faced heightened scrutiny.
