It is astounding that after the 2020 presidential election, in which President Donald Trump faced former Vice President Joe Biden, suddenly scandals are coming to light.
On Wednesday Hunter Biden, the son of the former vice president admitted that he was being investigated for “tax affairs,” CNN reported.
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Hunter Biden, 50, said.
“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” he said.
Former Vice President Biden issued a statement of his own via the Biden – Harris Transition Team to say he was “proud” of his son.
“President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger,” he said.
