Clinton has moreover stated that capitalism’s reputation amongst young Americans is “pretty much in tatters” and “disrupting our democracy.”
America’s Take on Clinton’s Remarks
While some Americans have criticized Clinton’s latest scapegoat for losing the 2016 Presidential election, others have questioned whether or not her assertions have some merit. After all, there are certain Democrats and Democratic voters who view capitalism in an unfavorable light. Many of these Americans support socialism or Democratic socialism. In theory, Clinton’s capitalism leanings could have adversely impacted her amongst voters in her own party.
However, not everyone is buying it. Other Americans simply view Clinton’s latest remarks as yet another attempt to fault some other entity for her own loss. Conservatives and Trump supporters have especially echoed these viewpoints, claiming that Clinton’s lack of accountability and lack of self-awareness is precisely why President Trump defeated her. Nevertheless, each individual has their own take and opinions at the end of the day.
