Democrats rally around Biden ahead of the general election

Left-wing officials like Sen. Debbie Stabenow and others feel midwestern states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin will play a huge role for Biden in November. They've predicted that as the president's polling increases here, he'll also benefit from abortion, which is top of mind for many voters. Lately, Biden's been working to convince the public of his role in reviving manufacturing jobs. While Republicans view this matter through a very different lens, Stabenow and other allies to the president believe voters will see things his way. Nevertheless, polls show Biden barely squeaking by against Trump in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. In Michigan, some surveys even have Trump ahead of the incumbent leader. Since 1992, every Democrat that went on to win the presidency carried these three states. Biden's allies have nonetheless expressed confidence that he'll win other important states like Nevada, Georgia, and Arizona. In 2020, then-candidate Biden surprised pundits and voters alike after eking out a win in the traditionally red Peach State.
