FEMA Employee Fired After Denying Trump Supporters Help

The Initial Incident
This occurred in Lake Placid, Florida, as FEMA was working tirelessly to rescue victims of Hurricane Milton. The historic hurricane reached category five before slowing down and hitting Florida at category three. Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency and many counties were issued evacuation orders. The storm was so large that it was felt throughout Florida, an uncommon occurrence as hurricanes usually affect one part of the state. It caused power outages, historic flooding, injury, and 35 fatalities. The unnamed employee instructed her relief team to pass over the homes that showed clear signs of supporting former President Donald Trump. DeStantis shared a post from the conservative-leaning platform, The Daily Wire, which initially broke the story. He shared a post on his official X account saying, "The blatant weaponization of government by partisan activists in the federal bureaucracy is yet another reason why the Biden-Harris administration is in its final days." He then announced that he instructed an internal investigation of the incident to be done immediately.FEMA Response
Deanne Criswell, the FEMA Administrator, made a statement on X about the shocking matter, stating, "More than 22,000 FEMA employees every day adhere to FEMA's core values and are dedicated to helping people before, during, and after disasters, often sacrificing time with their own families to help disaster survivors," she continued, "this is a clear violation of FEMA's core values and principals to help people regardless of their political affiliation." She continued by clarifying on the record that she condemns the actions of the former employee and that things of this nature are not tolerated at the organization. Criswell will be testifying on November 19th to answer for the incident and speak to the organization's response to this and the recent disasters. There will be an investigation to determine how many homes were denied potentially life-saving care from the relief teams due to these orders. There is no statement from the employee and FEMA is keeping her identity anonymous for an undisclosed reason.
