In truth, the need for all these government mandates is nonexistent; this is especially the situation as COVID-19 cases fall. However, Democrat leaders are fighting tool and nail to keep restrictions in place; officials like Whitmer expect the public to follow their edicts while they themselves act with impunity.
This level of hypocrisy is what ultimately frustrates the Republican Governors Association and others.
