As the 2020 presidential election goes on, the stakes are getting higher and higher. The upcoming third Democrat primary debates marks a new pivotal moment, as the stipulations to appear on the third debate stage are higher than before. Many of the Democrat candidates are beginning to realize that there is no feasible path for them to become the nominee to represent their party.

Low numbers in the polls and a lack of name recognition are just a few factors which are adversely impacting many Democrat candidates. The latest one to bow out of the race is Washington Governor Jay Inslee.

The End of Inslee 2020

Inslee announced the end of his short-lived presidential campaign during an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. The governor noted that he is dropping out because he doesn’t believe he’s going to carry the torch to become the 46th president of the United States.

During his admission, Inslee also noted his confidence in Americans to continue fighting climate change. Inslee is now the third Democrat candidate to end a presidential campaign; Eric Swalwell and John Hickenlooper respectively concluded their runs for the White House in recent weeks.
