LinkedIn is rolling out a suite of AI-powered features designed to transform how users search for jobs, develop new skills, and explore career opportunities.

On Wednesday, the professional networking platform announced its latest set of artificial intelligence tools aimed at making the job search experience more intuitive and personalized.

Rather than relying on traditional filters like job title or location, users can now search in plain language, describing what they want in a role — and let AI handle the rest.

AI-Powered Search: A Smarter Way to Find Jobs

The standout feature is AI-Powered Job Search, which allows users to bypass rigid search filters and instead use natural language to express what they’re looking for. Examples of this new search capability include:

• “Find me entry-level brand manager roles in fashion.”
• “Jobs for analysts who love solving sustainability challenges.”
• “Role that involves writing about AI at the senior level based in the New York City area.”

"AI is changing the way we work, and job search on LinkedIn will completely change the way people find their next opportunity," said Zara Easton, a spokesperson for LinkedIn.

“Our hope is that this way of discovering roles — and even new careers — will bring together job seekers' skills, interests, and aspirations to find their next step."

LinkedIn says this kind of search can help uncover roles users may not have considered or known they qualified for, making the job discovery process more aligned with individual goals and interests.

Personalized AI Coaching for Career Growth

LinkedIn Learning now includes AI-powered coaching for Premium subscribers. This tool enables users to:

• Conduct mock interviews or practice salary negotiations using AI
• Receive real-time, actionable feedback based on LinkedIn’s proprietary insights
• Get personalized course suggestions to strengthen skills

While platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini offer conversational AI, LinkedIn’s coaching stands out by tying feedback directly to professional development resources on the site.

Enhanced Job Match 

When viewing job listings, users can now access improved job match insights that assess how well their profile aligns with a role. Premium subscribers will see even deeper insights, such as:

• Job match scores
• Customized tips on how to stand out
• Company activity indicators, including verification status, response times, and whether hiring managers are actively reviewing applications

These additions aim to give users more transparency about their job prospects.

Free Learning Opportunities

LinkedIn is also boosting accessibility to AI education through LinkedIn Learning.

Key highlights:

• Over 1,500 courses on AI are available
• The top 10 most popular AI courses are free for all users through May

• Nearly 1 in 5 are concerned about AI making mistakes
