On Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that an impeachment inquiry into President Trump will begin. This announcement came after massive pressure from House Democrats to move forward with impeachment proceedings. During her remarks to the nation, Speaker Pelosi accused Trump of betraying his oath of office. The alleged betrayal regarded a conversation which the president had with his Ukrainian counterpart.

Following this conversation, a whistleblower came out and alleged that Trump engaged in a quid-pro-quo; although transcripts have since come out as evidence to the contrary, Democrats maintain that impeachment is warranted.

Earlier this morning, Pelosi appeared on MSNBC to discuss further information about the inquiry; at this point, she also announced that she prays for President Trump and his family.
