Less than 24 hours ago, President Trump signed a resolution which censures white supremacy, as reported by CNN.

Everything You Need To Know About The Resolution

First and foremost, the resolution signed by President Trump specifically condemns white racial hate groups, including "white nationalists, white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups." In addition to denouncing racial hatred, the aforementioned resolution also pays tribute to Heather Heyer. Heyer was brutally murdered during the riots in Charlottesville, Virginia in August 2017.

Will The Media Cover This In Depth?

Anyone who keeps up with politics is aware of the infamous dishonest press, especially pertaining to Trump coverage. In the coming days, it will be interesting to see whether or not the media chooses to provide in depth reports of the signed resolution. Mainstream media pundits made it their mission to libelously brand the President as a white supremacist, despite the plethora of times he's denounced racial hatred.

If the media chooses not to report accurately on the aforementioned resolution, it will only reflect poorly on them. Mainstream media pundits lament over labels fake news but rightfully earned such labels. However, they can change it. If they start covering President Trump fairly, perhaps they will re-earn the trust of the American people.

Repeated Condemnations of Racial Hatred

Will yet another condemnation of racial hatred and white supremacy satisfy the President's critics? It is possible, however, unlikely. As previously stated, President Trump's denunciations of racism go back decades, yet it's never enough for some people.

Moreover, those who claim the President is a racist are merely doing so to promote their own narrative. Trump detractors do not care about truth or logic, which is very unfortunate. They hate him so much they'll say anything. So, when the President's critics start censuring him on merit, as opposed to lies, perhaps they'll then be taken seriously.

Going Forward

Even though signing the resolution will not sway the President's critics, it was still the right call. In addition to signifying that racial hatred is intolerable under President Trump, the resolution highlights the inaccuracies of those calling him racist.

Honestly, how many times does one have to denounce racism? The mainstream media never bombarded former President Obama to repeatedly condemn racial hatred. However, the same people claiming President Trump to be racist are the ones who believe people of color are incapable of racism, a notion which is inaccurate.

The best course of action President Trump can take going forward is continuing to serve admirably as Commander in Chief and Make America Great Again. At this point, attempting to appease staunch detractors is pointless. The truth is apparent to those who wish to see it.
