Less than one week ago, the world learned that accused human trafficker Andrew Tate will have his time in Romanian detention extended for at least one more month. This marks the third extension of Tate's time behind bars. Romanian authorities initially apprehended him on December 29, alongside his younger brother, Tristan Tate, who will also spend the next 30 days in lockup. The two women arrested with the Tates, on the other hand, are going from detention to house arrest. While in lockup, Tate faces not just claims of human trafficking, but also of organized crime and rape. Romanian authorities have garnished his assets and vow that if Tate is determined guilty of the claims against him, his assets will go towards compensating women he's accusing of trafficking and raping. In the days since the world learned that Andrew and Tristan Tate will sit in jail for at least one more month, Romanian law enforcement released shocking new information.

Plans to flee to Dubai?

According to Romanian judges with the Court of Appeals, Tate had every intention of fleeing to Dubai to avoid facing the music amid the aforementioned charges against him. Apparently, this played a role in Romanian prosecutors pushing to keep the Tates behind bars. Allegations of the Tate brothers planning to make their way to Dubai arrive after law enforcement has already started reviewing their electronic devices.

A recap on the case

According to law enforcement in Romania, Tate and his brother (with the help of the women apprehended alongside them in December) ran a human trafficking ring in an organized crime fashion. Prosecutors furthermore allege to have learned of at least six women victimized by the brothers and their accomplices. Both Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate stand accused of using what's known as the loverboy method to lure women in. The loverboy method or Romeo pimping happens when a man feigns interest in often a woman or girl to lure her in. Oftentimes, this predator promises his target love, romance, marriage, or a better life. Then, once the predator has the woman or girl where he wants her, exploitation begins. In countless videos put out by Tate, he confessed to dating and sleeping with women before having them work on webcams. Tate, in his own videos, even boasted of "force pimping." He also claimed women in his home remain not allowed to leave. There's an extremely high likelihood that all of this will play a role in the legal case Romania looks to be establishing against the Tate brothers.
